Choice, effort, perseverance are all ingredients of surviving unto old age. But not everyone who survives comes through with qualities we can't help but admire. Even just to look into such a person's clear and shining eyes can lift one's spirits. May there always be at least a few such souls left around to guide us. Within our darkest days we shall sorely need them. |
