Crowds are gone
Sun is bright
Warm sand between my toes

Breeze is weak
But waters lap
Soft caress upon the shore

So many years have passed
Hours upon weeks
Months upon decades

We laughed and sang and danced
Despaired and cussed and cried

Overall we’ve few regrets
Thank gods above for that

I only wish they had not taken
I miss you dear, I do

The sun is warm
But not as warm
As if you still were here
